Our Home Away From Home
After Paris, we drove south in our rental van through fascinating countryside--ancient farms and castles, fields and forests, and lots of raptors. Of course, we are struggling to identify them since every bird we see here is a new bird. Late afternoon we arrived in St. Remy, our home for the next week. Our host was an American who had been in France for the last 15 years or so. The home was beautiful and the setting gorgeous, and it had a beautiful pool. The weather was hot and dry. After a long day of traveling and reading foreign road signs, we were quite tired. We were so pleased to find out that our host had our table beautifully set and dinner all prepared for us! After that and a swim we were ready for bed!
